The YATO brand tape wrench is designed for unscrewing:
- plastic pipes made of, among others.in PVC
- chrome pipes
- additionally it can be used to unscrew oil filters
.The use of a very strong and durable nylon strap with a length of 825mm and a width of 28mm makes it possible to unscrew pipes with a diameter reaching 200mm (8").
Other than that, it ensures that the surfaces of the unscrewed pipes are not scratched.
This is especiallyólly important in the case of chrome pipes, whichóre often also a decorative element and maintaining their aesthetic appearance is extremely important. However, in the case of plastic pipes, the strap wrench has an advantage over traditional pipe wrenches, which&oac;re equipped with metal jaws with teeth, because it does not damage the surface of the pipe. In this case, the use of a traditional wrench with metal jaws with teeth causes them to bite very hard into the surface of soft plastic and permanently damage it. The nylon strap is completely safe.
An additional advantage of the YATO strap wrench isvery fast size adjustment depending on the diameter of the pipe.
Also, the strap wrench allows you to work inhard-to-reach places, such as right next to a wall or another pipe. This is because you only need to wrap the pipe around the strap.
The handle of the wrench is made of lightweight but very strong aluminum alloy with a length of 300mm (12").
It is powder coated, which provides very durable protection against corrosion and is resistant to bruises and scratches.
